Some tips related to this pattern:
- Helixes are not developable surfaces.
- Cold deformation in the Z direction is considered, (perpendicular to the sheet metal surface), without thinning nor stretching of the metal sheet.
- Bending is to be applied along straight generatrices. It is recommended that the helix pitch be smaller than the outer diameter.
