Free Patterns Available on CaldereriaOnline.com - FOREVER
2025/09/20
At CaldereriaOnline.com, we realized that our original Standard Trial structure (7 days, 10 downloads) wasn't ideal for many of our users — especially small fabricators who sign up but may not have enough patterns to test within that limited time.
Based on their feedback, it became clear that having free patterns available to explore at their own pace — without the pressure of a countdown — is a more helpful approach. That's why we've decided to make a set of our most popular sheet metal developments completely free – forever.
These patterns represent nearly 50% of all downloads on our platform. From cones to cylinders, elbows, and transitions, you can now try them at no cost.

New Patterns Now Available on CaldereriaOnline.com
2025/08/23
We’ve just added three new patterns to the platform. They’re made to give you more options when building elbows, branches, and transitions for ducts, pipes, and different types of equipment you work with every day.
-
Pattern: elbow - round - right angle
A simple 90° round elbow. Handy for quick jobs, basic ducting, or just to test how the platform works. Easy to cut and put together. -
Pattern: elbow - round - optimized - staggered gores
Like the right-angle elbow, but with more power. Here you can set any angle, not just 90°. The gores are arranged to use less sheet metal, and the seams don’t line up one after another. That makes the elbow stronger, easier to weld, and more reliable for heavy-duty use. Perfect for ducts and piping where you need something that lasts. -
Pattern: branch on cylinder - transition - rectangle [fillet] to round - offset - uncentered position
A very practical development when you need to join a cylinder with a rectangle-to-round transition branch that’s not centered. This design works great in equipment like auger discharges, tangent cyclone inlets, or similar machines. The smoother shape helps material flow better, avoids it sticking in corners, and makes the piece easier to keep clean.
Like all developments on CaldereriaOnline.com, you can download these as DXF files ready for CNC, or for paper templates to mark directly on the sheet. The idea is simple: save time, avoid mistakes, and make those tricky shapes easier to build in the shop.
Check out the new patterns and see how they can help on your next project!
A New Pattern Added to CaldereriaOnline.com
2025/07/26
Pattern: round - branch on cone
Need to add a round pipe to a conical surface? We’ve just added the Pattern: round - branch on cone to make your life easier. Whether it’s for a dust collection system, hopper, cyclone, or custom ducting, this pattern gives you the full development with the cutout for the cone and the branch with the corresponding hole — ready to send to CNC cutting.
NOTE: As with all branch patterns on CaldereriaOnline.com, the 3D view of the cone doesn’t display the hole from your input — but the 2D unfolded pattern shows it correctly.
We’re always improving the platform and adding new tools based on what fabricators like you need. Thanks for being part of the shop — more upgrades coming soon!
🧩 Accurate Pattern Forming with Bend Angles on Your Flat Patterns
2025/06/21
Bend Angles Added to 2D Drawings!
At CaldereriaOnline.com, we’re always improving based on feedback from our users.
Now, certain pattern developments include bend angles directly on the 2D drawing. This feature is designed especially for those who use a press brake to form parts and need to input precise bend angles into their machines or operator setup sheets.
🛠️ This new option applies to:
- Offset cones (with parallel top and bottom)
- Hoppers — both parallel and oblique
- Rectangle-to-round transitions (with parallel ends)
All you have to do is check the Include bending angle texts box in the settings before generating your flat pattern.
- ⚠️ Note: The bending lines and angles are provided for convenience — you can use other forming methods like rolling, if applicable, depending on your workshop's process.

And as always, if you have suggestions or ideas for improvement, please reach out. Many of the best features on the site started with a single user’s comment.
✅ Pattern Correction - Paper templates
2025/06/14
At CaldereriaOnline.com, we’re always working to improve our tools and keep things accurate — especially for fabricators like you who rely on clean, precise patterns every day.
We recently found and fixed a technical issue affecting right-angle (90°) branches, when looking for the paper template. The branch pipe (only) was not calculated as a wrap-around paper template, but as actual flat metal template.
If you’ve used these patterns before, we recommend re-running them just to make sure you’re working with the latest and most accurate version.
🛠️ What Was the Issue?
Due to a bug, for these two patterns, if the paper template checkbox was selected by the user, the branch pipe was incorrectly drawn as a flat sheet metal template instead of the intended wrap-around paper template. The main pipe was correctly drawn as a paper template.
📂 Potential Impact and Transparency
- We checked the download logs on our website.
- We assessed the impact — for example, how many users might have been affected during the period the issue was active.
- When applicable, we are contacting those users to inform them of the issue and recommend re-downloading the corrected patterns.
🛠️ Quick Fix Thanks to a User from Cali 🇨🇴
While we were busy introducing some minor improvements into our platform, one issue slipped through the cracks: some of our elbow patterns were accidentally shuffled out of order, making them temporarily unavailable.
We might have taken longer to catch it, if not for a thoughtful user from Cali, Colombia who reached out and flagged the problem. Thanks to their message, our team was able to identify and resolve the issue within just a few hours.
To show our appreciation, we’ve granted this user full access with unlimited downloads for the next 45 days. 🎉
We’re always grateful for users who take the time to report issues—it helps us keep the platform running smoothly for everyone. If you ever spot something that seems off, don’t hesitate to Contact us!

Two New Patterns Added to CaldereriaOnline.com
2025/04/12
We’re excited to announce the addition of two brand-new pattern types to CaldereriaOnline.com — further expanding the possibilities for our users in the world of sheet metal development and fabrication.
- Pattern: branch on cylinder - transition - rectangle [fillet] to round
- Pattern: elbow - cone - N parts
Pattern: branch on cylinder - transition - rectangle [fillet] to round
This new pattern allows users to create a rounded-rectangle transition branch directly attached to a cylindrical surface. A few potential use cases include:
- Bulk material discharge systems, where a round outlet feeds into a helical auger or conveyor
- Tank or silo openings that require a rectangular connection merging into a round pipe
- And more...
This pattern was one of the most requested by our users, and we’re excited to finally make it available on the platform.
Pattern: elbow - cone - N parts
Need to connect two different diameter pipes with an elbow? Now you can.
This new pattern handles the complex task of transitioning between two different diameters using a segmented elbow. This pattern was also highly requested by our users, and we’re excited to finally make it available on the platform.
🔧 Why This Matters
With these two additions, CaldereriaOnline.com continues to offer one of the most complete collections of online sheet metal development tools available.
Whether you’re designing complex transitions, unusual branches, or segmented elbows, you can now generate unfolded developments instantly — directly in your browser — and ready for cutting or CNC workflows.

Our mission is to support professionals like you with smart, accessible, and precise tools for pattern generation — ensuring high accuracy, speeding up workflows, and keeping your production efficient.
We’re constantly working on improvements, new shapes, and updated features — and as always, every update goes live immediately on the platform. No downloads or installations required.
✅ Pattern Correction and the Advantage of Online Tools
2025/06/14
At CaldereriaOnline.com, we are committed to continuous improvement of our platform and to being transparent with our users — especially when it comes to technical issues that could affect pattern accuracy.
Recently, we identified and corrected an issue related to one-diameter main-and-branch patterns (both straight and angled). These are commonly used configurations where the main pipe and the branch are meant to have the same diameter.
🛠️ What Was the Issue?
Due to a flaw in how configuration settings were applied, the platform was allowing independent settings for the main pipe and the branch ends:
- End12 configuration (for the main)
- End34 configuration (for the branch)
Each of these settings could be independently set to Inside, Center, or Outside. However, if different values were used for each end, the resulting pattern would produce different diameters for the main and the branch — which contradicts the very concept of a one-diameter pattern type.
✅ How We Fixed It
We have now corrected the behavior so that:
- The branch section automatically inherits the End12 configuration.
- This ensures both the main pipe and the branch have a consistent, matching diameter throughout the pattern.
The updated tool now guarantees a properly aligned one-diameter connection in all cases.
📡 The Power of the Online Platform
This situation also highlights one of the major advantages of using an online tool like CaldereriaOnline.com:
- The fix is already live.
- All users accessing the platform now benefit from the corrected version — no downloads, no updates, no delays.
Had this been part of a traditional desktop add-on or plugin for CAD software (as it was the case of our LITIO2 program), distributing the fix would have been:
- Cumbersome, requiring emails or manual downloads
- Unreliable, as not all users may update to the corrected version
- Time-consuming, both for developers and customers
📂 What About Existing Users?
To assess potential impact:
- We reviewed download and usage logs from our website.
- We evaluated how many users might have been affected during the time the issue was active.
- Where applicable, we are contacting those users to inform them directly and recommend re-downloading any affected patterns.
🔍 Transparency, Trust, and Quality
No software is perfect — but what matters is how issues are handled.
We believe that open communication and responsible updates are key to:
- Earning the trust of our users
- Ensuring quality patterns for real-world fabrication
- Constantly improving your experience on our platform
